DISCOVER MOORE STEPHENS LLP, SINGAPORE IN 2019

The well-anticipated annual Dinner and Dance 2019 was held at the Sheraton Hotel on the 29 November 2019. Themed the Good Old Days, colleagues from Moore Stephens LLP’s Singapore, Cebu office and that of those from Complete Corporate Services donned funky costumes and outfits from the 1950’s and 1960’s era, some of which resembled styles from Ip Man, Grease and even Jimi Hendrix. Others were clad in Peranakan, Chinese, Malay, Indian outfits, just to name a few which brought traditional and fond memories of the good old days.

Friends and colleagues gathered for memorable photo sessions at the photo booth over Muah Chee and drinks before being ushered in for the actual event.

The dinner and dance commenced with a series of clips to share some of the events and activities that were organised across the year. This included Chinese New Year celebrations with the mandatory “Lo Hei” for prosperity and good luck. Other activities included team and inter-department bonding over bowling, darts and a barbeque to encourage cohesion outside of work.

Colleagues also bonded over the love of sports with Badminton and Futsal. Some of these sessions were organised with the Deaf Sports Association of Singapore where our colleagues participated in friendly games with the Deaf Women Futsal Team for a healthy work-out.

During the night, long service awards were presented to some of our colleagues as a show of appreciation for their loyal and dedicated services over the years.

Whilst enjoying a superb 8-course meal and fine wine, we were entertained with dance performances by colleagues from Cebu who put together a fusion of dance moves and rocked beats from the 1960’s, followed by our very own live band. The performers put up a truly superb show, captivating the audience with a brilliant outpour of creative energies.

Other highlights featured colleagues competing in a hilarious but yet entertaining battle of the bands segment as well as a mini-dance competition for our best dressed nominees. It was more than just a fun-filled night with good food and entertainment. Not only has the night brought back memories of the good old days, but also fostered stronger bonds to open new doors for collaboration and creativity.

We extend a hearty congratulations once again to all our lucky draw and mini-competition winners, longservice awardees and best dressed colleagues with many thanks to all those who attended the event and in making it a memorable one.
